Wolin-Mackey Hired as Executive Director of
Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County
The
board of directors for Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County is
pleased to announce Sarah Wolin-Mackey has been hired as the
Executive Director for the organization. Wolin-Mackey will assume
her duties on Monday, July 19.
“We are excited to have Sarah join Habitat for Humanity and continue
to grow our organization,” said Mike Reisinger, president of the
board of directors for Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County.
“Sarah’s professionalism, experience and community involvement will
enable Habitat for Humanity to continue to successfully fulfill its
mission in Sangamon County.”
Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County is a community-driven
nonprofit organization that develops working partnerships with local
businesses, churches, community organizations and other individuals
to build simple, decent and affordable housing for all people in
need. Since its founding in 1989, Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon
County has built 79 houses in the local community while providing
shelter for more than 300 individuals.
“I am looking forward to partnering with the board and volunteers to
further the mission of Habitat for Humanity,” said Wolin-Mackey.
“Through partnerships with local businesses, churches and community
organizations, Habitat for Humanity is providing decent, affordable
housing to families in Sangamon County, and I am thrilled to join
the efforts to successfully tackle such a significant social
problem.”
Wolin-Mackey most recently worked at The Greater Springfield Chamber
of Commerce managing communications and investor relations for The
Chamber and the Quantum Growth Partnership (Q5). Wolin-Mackey also
previously worked at the United Way of Central Illinois and Girls
Incorporated of Jefferson County. Wolin-Mackey graduated from
Hanover College with a B.A. in Economics, received a Certificate in
Fund Raising Management from Indiana University, a Graduate
Certificate in the Management of Nonprofit Organizations from
University of Illinois Springfield and graduated with a Masters in
Public Administration (M.P.A.) from University of Illinois
Springfield.
Sarah and her husband, Brant Mackey, reside in Springfield,
Illinois.
